Independent Review Board Subjects

As a participant in a research study being overseen by Compass IRB, you should be aware that we are here to assist you with any questions or concerns about your participation. We are an independent group established to review research involving human subjects and act as a resource for them.  You should know that as a subject in a research study, you are free to stop your participation at any time.

If you have medical questions or concerns about the study, they should first be addressed with the doctor in charge of the study. As an IRB we are here to answer your questions about your rights as a research subject. If you are not sure who you should ask your question to, you can contact us and we will discuss your questions with you. Once we understand your question, we will be happy to do what we can to make sure you get your questions answered either by us or the doctor in charge of your study.

If you need to speak with someone at Compass IRB, you may call 1(877) 660-1IRB and identify yourself as a "research subject". Please state that you would like to talk with a subject representative.

When you contact us, you do not have to give your name or any other self-identifying information if you don't feel comfortable.

We will do our very best to work with you to answer any questions or concerns you have.
